The photos in my review will have the used excellent example AND the set I was sent by mistake, a lower grade as they called it.
Received my replacement set a couple days ago for the original set I ordered. I would definitely consider this as EXCELLENT condition used.

Typical surplus warehouse smell, nothing offensive like last time.
Just a couple smaller issues this time around ;
I will admit, the straps on the poncho/cape carrier needed sewing, AGAIN. Half the strap on each side was ripped open letting the metal stiffener inside almost escape.
The "staple" as the parts list calls it on the yoke for carrying the e-tool was missing. Luckily I sourced one off the other set.
And finally. the water canteen pouch, I wasn't upset, just simply surprised. Although in great condition overall, has been completely overhauled at the depot. Looks like someone fell, or caught the pouch on something ripping it in half.
Instead of replacing it, the depot sewed the absolute heck outta it. Pretty wild.
Now that I see what they consider EXCELLENT USED, I wouldn't have any issue paying the price advertised for it.
Update, I got an email that a mistake was made, I'm being sent another set in the correct condition and a label n such for the return of this set. I will make another update when the replacement set arrives!
ORIGINAL REVIEW
First time ordering from camolots and I would say it was simply okay.
As a summary, I purchased the highest grade offered for half price due to a new year's sale.
If I paid full price for what I received, I would be pretty upset.
It arrived simply in a plastic bag, which is okay I guess because it did actually survive the shipment here. Props to usps for not obliterating it.
Upon opening the bag, the smell of fermented urine filled the air and removing the webbing from the bag made me realize it was physically moist and coated in some sort of funk leaving it on your hands when handled. Gross.
It makes me kind of question their warehouse conditions.
Immediately taking it outside, I filled a tub with cold water and very gentle detergent to soak the webbing in for a couple hours. The amount of filth and funk that came off of this set was quite impressive.
After I let it dry for a couple days, I decided to take a look at it and assemble the kit together.
In my personal opinion, only one ammo pouch and maybe the large pack would be considered used excellent. Everything else would be a lesser grade.
The other ammo pouch, it is way more worn and the side pocket has a hole in the bottom of it rendering it useless, advertised as no holes mind you.
You can tell the pocket used to be taped up at some point in its life.
The poncho carrier straps were falling apart, and it was rust stained through-out from the metal reinforcements inside the straps that were open that I needed to sew shut. I sewed the straps back together, again, sewing and repairing was advertised for the lowest grades.
Used excellent was stated to be the best quality they had and have no holes. If this is the best quality they have, their selection must be pretty rough.I can only imagine with the other grades look like. Unless of course, a lower grade was sent to me because I paid half price.
I will say their shipping was lightning fast and I did make another order a day later.
