Vintage WWII British Canadian Wool Puttees *Very Rare, Low Stock*

These very unique and cool one size fits all Puttees worn by British and Canadian forces during WWII and into the Cold War era. These wool leg wraps are great for added warmth for avid outdoors people or wear them just to be stylish. They were designed to be used with any ankle-high boot to keep gravel or snow out, and wool retains 80% warmth when wet! These are also great for a theater production!

A puttee, also spelled puttie, is the name, adapted from the Hindi paṭṭī, bandage (Skt. paṭṭa, strip of cloth), for a covering for the lower part of the leg from the ankle to the knee, alternatively known as: leg wraps, leg bindings, winingas, or wickelbander.

These are most likely Post-WWII British issue. They are in good to very good condition but may exhibit some minor damage or repairs. Not all pairs are an exact match, they may have been swapped or re-paired throughout their military service. Still, good useable condition. Approximately 35" long.
