These are original, unissued, East German military surplus white and gray cotton collar liners. They have 5 buttonholes and attach to the collar of uniforms. An essential item for reenactors and collectors of East German militaria. They were originally used on wool uniforms to protect the collar from heavy soiling making the tunic easier to clean, and to protect the wearer from chafe and discomfort. East German military forces used them on a variety of uniforms. These may also be adapted for WWII era reenacting.
