Original British 44 Pattern P44 BELT Green British Cold War Era.
On the right side there is a strap with fastener that was designed to secure the rifle when slung during marches. The 3-piece belt design catered to wearers suffering from heat rash since the 1944 Pattern equipment was intended for tropical use. The rear section could be removed while the 2 sides could still be suspended from the yoke.
The Pattern 1944 W.E. was produced from the end of WWII and made obsolete in the early 1990's.
